The article presents information on the growing number of cases of physical and mental trauma caused to the schoolchildren of the U.S. due to the use of injurious restraint and seclusion. It informs about the regulations that have been proposed for excluding restraint and seclusion from the Individualized Education Programs (IEP) of students with disabilities. It discusses the mixed reactions of various organizations on the proposed bill that aims to prohibit restrain and seclusion in schools.
