The RTC has the following research initiatives: an employment specialist project, a vocational rehabilitation/mental health/substance abuse (VR/MH/SA) program assessment, a national job accommodation study, crisis-oriented employment support plans, an examination of the VR/MH work force, and a longitudinal earnings history study. The project has the following training initiatives: a support for predoctoral students, two national VR/MH research seminars, a VR curriculum module for psychiatrists, dissemination to consumers and families, training initiatives on key topics, and a national VR/MH conference.
