The West Virginia RRTC's mission is to empower people with disabilities and individuals who serve people with disabilities through research and training related to information needs and information technology.
The Center is developing a system for gathering, organizing, transforming, and presenting information. This system is designed to create information, inform consumers, and facilitate or enable decision-making. This system must address the objectives of the program or the areas that it intends to cover, meet the needs of specific characteristics and components, be versatile in terms of useability (different ways and forms), be readily useable by consumers with different levels of sophistication and training, be current and readily updatable, and be responsive in a timely manner to the needs of its various constituencies.
